Lahore:A reception was held on behalf of Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at 90-Shahra-e-Quaid-Azam in honour of army doctors who provided treatment to the patients in government hospitals in the province during the strike of young doctors. Senior Advisor, Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa represented the Punjab government on this occasion. Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah, Special Assistant on Health, Kh. Salmaan Rafiq, Secretary Health were present on the occasion. The delegation of army doctors was led by Commandant CMH Brig. Dr Naseer Ahmad accompanied by DMS 4-Corps, Brig. Shakilur Rehman Afridi.
Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa said that Chief Minister Punjab, Punjab government and people of the province are deeply thankful to the army doctors on the provision of treatment to the patients in the teaching hospitals of Punjab on the request of Punjab government. He said that the services of Pak Army in connection with the affected brethren are a golden chapter of our national history. He said that two years ago, jawans of Pak Army helped the flood affected people. He expressed his belief that if services of Army doctors were needed during any emergency and the difficult time by the people of Punjab, they will serve the ailing humanity with same spirit.
Commandant CMH Lahore, Brig. Dr. Naseer Ahmad said that Pak Army remains ready for service to the affected brethren round the clock and the army doctors performed their duties diligently in seven teaching hospitals of Punjab on the request of Punjab government. He said that army doctors have provided services in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur and other districts. He said that it was a challenge for army doctors and they performed their duties efficiently.
