Rana distributes keys of dengue brigade

Lahore:Provincial Minister for Law, & Parliamentary Affairs and Local Government, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that Punjab government has completed all arrangements for meeting possible affects and threats of dengue and the training process of the staff of local government, health and other departments has been completed. He said that although resources were utilized for overcoming the dreadful virus of dengue yet it was special blessings of Almighty Allah in this regard.

He was addressing a keys distribution ceremony of dengue brigade vehicles among the TMOs of various districts in Town Hall, here today. Parliamentary Secretary Local Government Abdur Razzaq Dhilon, Secretary Local Government Board Rizwan Sharif, Managing Director Punjab Municipal Development Company Muhammad Aamir Nazir, Special Secretary Local Government Dr. Saqib Aziz, Commissioner Lahore Jawad Rafique and Tehsil Municipal Officers of various districts as well as officers of local government were also present on the occasion.

Rana Sanaullah expressed the hope that Punjab government will also control dengue virus with the cooperation of the people this time. He said that last year no one was aware of the nature of the dengue and we got awareness of the affects for the first time. He said that dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister Punjab, government officials and the participation of every segment of the society became a rock wall against the virus of dengue.

Earlier, Secretary Local Government Rizwan Sharif informed the Law Minister about the steps taken for the eradication of possible outbreak of dengue in the rain season. He informed that due to steps of the Punjab government, dengue brigade vehicles are being distributed among the TMOs of 31 districts of Punjab through Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company for the first time in the history of the country. He said that the training has been imparted to the staff for operating these vehicles from the Management and Professional Development Department. He further said that 520 shoulder foggers and 1600 spray pumps have been distributed among the above mentioned districts. Later, Rana Sanaullah distributed keys of dengue brigade vehicles among the TMOs.
