The Minister expressed these views while talking to media representatives at Minar-e-Pakistan, Tent Office, here on Monday. Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik, Member Provincial Assembly Rana Ejaz Ahmad Khan, office-bearers of PML(N) and officials of all concerned departments were also present on this occasion. Malik Nadeem Kamran said that doctors belong to an educated segment of the society and they should realize dignity of their profession as well moral, religious and official responsibilities. He observed that doctors should also perform their duties unconditionally for the ailing humanity in the hospitals. The Minister lamented that some elements, in the ranks of Young Doctors, are trying to instigate the doctors’ community for the vested interest, but their nefarious designs would be foiled at all cost. He urged the doctors not to play in to the hands of undesirable elements, but serve the ailing humanity with dedication.
On this occasion, the delegation of Anjuman-e-Numberdaran, Punjab headed by its President, Muhammad Ali Joya, met the Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran and pointed out that during the dictatorship era of Musharraf, the inheritance based post of Numberdar was abolished and, instead, people on whimsical political basis were appointed as Numberdars. They demanded that the inheritance based position of the post of Numberdar should be restored, whereas, the Irrigation Department should make collection of water receipt on its own. Upon hearing the demand, the Minister directed the authorities of Board of Revenue present on the occasion to review the matter in detail, and submit a report to him in this regard. Earlier, the Minister listened to the people’s problems and issued on-the-spot orders on the applications for redressal of their grievances.
