Lahore:Prominent and renowned and Mashikh belonging to various schools of thought have appealed to the young doctors to call off their strike and added that all those whose profession directly relates to human life or faith should not stop extending their services due to any financial consideration. In the Holy Quran, this is a verse that “One who has saved one human life has saved the entire humanity”. In a Hadith, the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “Best among the people is one who given them maximum benefit”.
Ulema which included Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Rashid, Maulana Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi, Abdul Rauf Malik, Prof. Abdul Rehman Ludhiyanvi, Dr. Hafiz Hassan Madni, Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Mufti Intikhab Ahamd Mufti, Muhamamd Irfan Sialvi, Pir Syed Muhammad Usman Noori, Syed Fahim-ul-Hassan Thanvi, Maulana Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Inqalabi, Muhammad Arif Sialvi, Al-Hajj Haider Ali Mirza and Muhammad Khan Qadri have appealed to the striking doctors that they should neither deviate from their oath nor instigate others to do so. It is obligatory upon the doctors that they should not let any consideration hamper them from the performance of their professional responsibilities. Ulema and Mashaikh said that refusal to provide treatment to the needy patients in the hospitals is negation of moral, human and Islamic values. They said that doctors are morally, ethically and professionally bound to provide treatment facilities to patients.. They requested the striking doctors to call off their strike unconditionally by rising above their personal interests and immediately join their duties for serving the ailing humanity.
