Lahore:A large number of patients and their attendants, who had come to Mayo Hospital today, strongly protested against the doctors due to strike of young doctors and raised slogans against them. The protestors included women, children and elder patients.
The women demanded the Chief Minister Punjab of strict action against young doctors. The attendants, while protesting, demanded that the licence of doctors should be cancelled. They said that we come to hospital after paying fare of 100 rupees but doctors have no fear of God and they do not provide treatment to them. They said that the government is already paying heavy remuneration to the doctors.
On this occasion, some patients were brought on stature but the young doctors did not attend them and the attendants returned back cursing the doctors. They said that the doctors who do not provide treatment to the patients for the sake of their demands, do not deserve to be called as human beings. They said that despite repeated appeals by the Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the strike of young doctors is continuing due to which a large number of patients are facing severe problems. They said that young doctors instead of becoming messiah are playing with the lives of the people for the sake of their interests.
