Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated Allama Iqbal Road today which was completed at a cost of Rs.70 crore. Best traveling facilities would be available to the people of this area due to completion of this project. Member National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Members Provincial Assembly, Commissioner and DCO Lahore and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
Addressing the inaugural function, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that timely and transparent completion of development projects is our policy. He said that the projects of infrastructure are being completed expeditiously in a transparent manner throughout the province. The Chief Minister said that after completion of the expansion project of Allama Iqbal Road, it is considered one of the best roads of Lahore and a best gift by Punjab government for the people of this area. Shahbaz Sharif said that although there has been some delay in this project, however, the traffic will flow smoothly after completion of this important project and it will meet the needs of the people of this area for the next 25 – 30 years.
Member National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also addressed the function. Earlier, the Chief Minister formally inaugurated this project after unveiling the plaque. He also inspected newly constructed Dharampura Disposal Station.
