Lahore: The Young Doctors Association Punjab’s strike against not getting service structure has entered sixth day on Satureday.
Hundreds of the patients suffered on consecutive sixth day as doctors were not available in hospitals of the province.The YDA also vowed to extend the strike for an indefinite period of time until their demand for service structure was fulfilled.The closure of OPDs increased the load of patients in emergency wards, which also affected the quality of treatment to the seriously sick and injured patients.
The strike caused intense anguish to the patients and attendants, as the operations, indoor and outdoor services remain suspended for the fifth day today across Punjab, with the government taking no alternate steps.
