More Sheesha cafes sealed in city:DCO Noor ul Amin

Lahore:On the directions of Administrator/District Coordination Officer Noor-ul-Amin Mengal action has been taken against Sheesha cafes and monitoring teams sealed Rock Star Café, Huma Block Allama Iqbal Town and Silver Smoke Café, Gulshan Block, Allama Iqbal Town. During operation 6 huqas confiscated from Rock Staf Café whereas 8 Huqas confiscated from Silver Smoke Café. Teenagers were busy in sheesha smoking in these Cafes. Outer gate of Silver Smoke Care, Iqbal Town was locked whereas activities of sheesha smoking were continued inside the café. Both of sheesha cafés have been sealed. Administrator/DCO, Lahore said that sheesha smoking will not be tolerated in the city and action will remain continue under rules. He further said that sheesha cafes have become a social issue because our young generation is becoming addict of drugs because of these sheesha cafes and in this connection public should also cooperate with the government.

district administration teams have taken action against the hotels, marriage halls, sweets and bakers and other shops for selling substandard food items in the city. Food inspectors inspected the food samples of 166 hotels, marriage halls, sweet and bakers and other shops during last 24 hours and imposed fine of Rs. 14,000/- on selling substandard and unhygienic food items. Overall 26 samples of food items sent to laboratory for further checking.

Towns administration conducted operation for eviction of cattle in urban areas of the city today and 17 cattle have been evicted from urban jurisdiction of Lahore and 3 FIRs have been registered against violators. Follow up operation conducted in union council no. 134 of Nishtar Town. 11 cattle evicted from union council no. 14 from Ravi Town and 3 FIRs have been registered. 6 cattle have been evicted from union council no. 16 and 135 of Shalamar Town. Follow up operation has been conducted in union council 127 of Gulberg Town and union council no. 38 of Wahga Town Lahore.
