President summons NA to meet on Friday

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the National Assembly to meet in the Parliament House Islamabad on Friday, June 22, at 05:30 pm.

Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza will be chairing the proceedings of the House. The 43rd session of the Lower House of Parliament has been summoned by President Asif Ali Zardari in exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution. The Lower House will meet on Friday at 1730 hours in the Parliament House. Meanwhile, National Assembly Secretariat also issued schedule for the election of new Prime Minister.

National Assembly session has been summoned to meet on June 22 to elect new Prime Minister of Pakistan after disqualification of Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani from premiership on Supreme Court verdict.

PPP allied parties have yet to decide Unanimous candidate for Premiership.
