Lahore:President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Punjab government is successfully implementing welfare programmes of PML-N and uplift projects are being executed expeditiously in the province.
He was addressing a meeting in Murree in which Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif gave a detailed briefing about development programmes and uplift schemes in the province. Senator Ishaq Dar, Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Members National Assembly Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Ehsan Iqbal, Capt. (R) Muhammad Safdar and Provincial Minister Rana Sanaullah were present. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that development programmes in backward areas should be given top priority so that these areas could be brought at par with the developed ones for facilitating the poor masses. He said that load-shedding has assumed the form of a serious crisis in the county and the life of people has become miserable. He said that Shahbaz Sharif has represented the sentiments of the people through joining in the vigorous protest against load-shedding.
Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while giving a briefing about development programmes in Punjab said that extraordinary funds have been allocated for education, health and transport sectors. He said that effective measures are being taken for the empowerment of women and including them in the process of change. He said that laptops have been given to the youth in accordance with the vision of President PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that speedy implementation of development projects is being ensured in the province and maximum resources are being utilized on the projects aimed at progress and development of the people under a comprehensive strategy.
