DCO paid surprise visit to Sunday Bazars

Lahore:District Coordination Officer Lahore, Noor ul Amin Mengal has paid surprise visits of Tajpura, Begumkot, and Shalimar Sunday bazaars today and directed the Sunday bazaars administration to further improve the arrangements of the Sunday bazaars and to provide maximum facilities to people who visit the bazaars. DCO Lahore checked the quality of fruits, vegetables and others food items in bazaars.DCO Lahore expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements of cleanliness and quality of vegetables and fruits. He while inspecting the different stalls, inquired from the consumers about the standard and prices of the items, on which some complained about the quality of food items and fruits and vegetables. DCO, Lahore directed the officers to pay special attention on the quality of fruits and vegetables in Sunday bazaars. He said that prices of food items in Sunday bazaars should not be higher as compared to open market. Noor ul Amin Mengal said that substandard food items will not be allowed to sell in Sunday bazaars on the name of cheapest things. DCO has also taken notice of shortage of sugar in some bazaars and ordered to administration to make ensure the availability of sugar in bazaars.
