Ch Shujaat Demands commission inqury in Arslan case

Lahore:Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that a commission to be set up immediately for inquiry into Arsalan scandal.

Talking informally with the media people here, Ch Shujat Hussain said the Commission should conduct its proceedings in open court and there should be no ban entry of anyone.

He said that some elements are giving the impression that there is something going on between Malik Riaz and the judiciary whereas Malik Riaz has produced evidence against a person, to term this as a government conspiracy will also not right.

He said if any matter of the government is in the Supreme Court, this cannot be linked with and it should be left to the government and the Supreme Court.

Ch Shujat Hussain further said that some people are continuously indulging in one sided propaganda to create the impression that there is confrontation between institutions instead of persons; as such it is necessary that a commission be set up at the earliest possible. He said that nobody can even think that this matter is against the Supreme Court or harming the sanctity of the country’s apex court.
