Punjab Government issued notification for minimum wage

Lahore:On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, minimum wage of all unskilled workers has been increased from Rs. 7000 to Rs. 9000 per month throughout the province. The Government has issued notification in this regard which will be effective from July 1st 2012.

This decision was taken in the full board meeting of Minimum Wages Board Punjab presided over by Chairman/Secretary Labour and Human Resource Hassan Iqbal, here today.
