Lahore:Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Mujahid Sherdil has said that Lahore Flood Warning Center has starting its services from today.Officers from all provincial departments will perform duties and provide complete information about the situation of water flow and flood to the people, 24 hours.
He said that all-out measures have been completed to repair/maintenance river banks and barrages throughout the Punjab. He said that all the concerned departments, officers and officials have been directed to keep alert to cope with any emergency situation.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting with officers from different departments, here today. He told that all measures have been finalized to cope with expected flood and to implement flood plan, whereas, comprehensive stock of food and other necessary items have been provided to all the districts so that they can utilize it in any emergency situation. He said all DCOs are monitoring water flow in rivers, canals and barrages in their respective districts.
