Faith can only make man free:Imran Khan

Lahore:Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Imran Khan has said that it is only faith that can make one truly free. Addressing an Ulema and Mashaik conference organized by the party he said that when God rekindled his faith it was as if a veil was lifted from my eyes. With faith comes many things said Imran it frees one from fear, finishes worldly wants money etc and above all makes one rise above ego and the word “I”. True freedom thus comes only from faith.

Referring to the situation in Pakistan today, Imran Khan said that we see happening in the country today is an antithesis of faith. People like Malik Riaz Behria has virtually started a neelam ghar or acution house buying everyone in the country. If there was faith said Imran, he would have been unable to buy anyone. Persons of faith cannot be bought, they have no fear.

I have no confusion, said Imran Khan, that Pakistan can only be revived if we bring back the same ideology that created Pakistan. It is not an ideology of secularism because if secularism is what was desired than there was no need to make Pakistan. It is the ideology of the Pakistan movement that will guide us. We will make Pakistan into a model Islamic state like the one established by the prophet in Madina. It will be a state based on Justice and Rule of law. Everyone will be equal before the law. There will be compassion, humanity, concern for the poor and no injustice in the new Pakistan we want to create.

The conference organized by party leader Chaudry Ijaz Ahmed was also addressed by Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Dr. Arif Alvi besides a large number of Ulema and Mashaikh.
