Sri Lankan Dengue Team
Lahore:A 3-member Sri Lankan Dengue Experts Team visiting on the invitation of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has arrived Lahore Airport today. Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique welcomed it. Secretary Health Capt. Arif Nadeem was also present on the occasion. Sri Lankan Team comprises Dr. Tissera, Dr. Paba and Dr. Jonathan.
Talking to media on this occasion, Khawaja Salman Rafique said that Punjab government has taken practical steps for elimination of dengue at tehsil level. He said that arrangements were made on emergent basis for destroying dengue larva in the light of the suggestions given by Sri Lankan Dengue Experts last year. He expressed the hope that due to precautionary measures, the situation of the last year will not be faced.
Sri Lankan Dengue Experts talking to media on this occasion said that they have come to Lahore on the invitation of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. They said that dengue is a global problem and more than hundred countries of the world are facing it. They said that they will continue to offer their services for elimination of dengue in Punjab at all level.
