Shahbaz Sharif returns

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that foreign investors has been motivated and they would invest in energy sector in Pakistan so that energy crisis could be resolved. He was talking to media-men at Allama Iqbal International Airport on his return from Britain, Turkey and Germany today.

The Chief Minister said that serious efforts are being made for dealing with energy problem and ridding the people of load-shedding. He said that full attention has been paid to the projects of power generation and several agreements have been signed with local and foreign companies in this regard.

He said that during his recent visit, talks were held with Pakistani investors based in Germany, Turkey and Britain as well as international energy companies for investment in power generation sector. Replying to a question about drone attacks, he said that we have always raised voice against these attacks.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during his visit to America besides discussing other matters also raised his voice against drone attacks. He said that consultation will be made over this issue in the party meeting and a strategy would be evolved.
