Lahore Arts Council organized a five-day painting workshop

Lahore : The Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) organized a five-day painting workshop at Alhamra Art Gallery, The Mall here on Monday.

Alhamra arranged this workshop as the arts are essential in life. The instrumental argument for the inclusion of the arts in education is that they foster transferable skills and boost overall academic achievement, leading to better future art workshops opportunities, enhanced well-being of our students.

Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Ather Ali Khan said that one of the most enlightening aspects of Alhamra is the provision of a rich cultural environment to “our young and amateur artists and students who had just begun learning arts professionally”. He further said as far as this workshop is concern I believe that emotional and mental development is very much  important for young children and teens so Alhamra through acting and painting workshops engaged children in different activities so maybe they can able to represent experiences that they cannot verbalize. They may draw pictures out of proportion, exaggerating things that are important to them. When we value children’s creativity, we help them feel valued as people, raising their self-esteem.

Alhamra has registered 38 children for the workshop and their age group is from i 7-15 years old. The workshop will continue till June 28 and certificates will be given to the students at the end of the workshop.
