Lahore : NAB has arrested former DG NEPRA Syed Insaf Ahmad on the corruption charges of Rs 8 billions while proceedings on the mega corruption case of Rs300 billions payment to IPPA.
The accused Syed Insaf Ahmad allegedly paid Rs 8 billions extra to Nishat Chaunian Power Limited on extremely high rate of electricity.
Nishat Chaunian Power Company established in 2010 having capacity of 200 megawatt , total amount was to the company Rs 17 billions for electricity in which Rs 8 billions were extra payment.
The accused will be produced in the NAB Court tomorrow on 11th of June for remand .
