Now a consumer may buy 2 Kg sugar at Ramadan Bazaar : Samsam Bukhari

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari has proudly announced that it has been decided to give two kg sugar per individual consumer in the Ramzan bazaars of the province.

Ramzan bazaars will be convert into Eid bazaars from 21st Ramzan ul Mubarak. Punjab government has also decided to abolish the rebate on the export of sugar, The Minister added.

Sumsam Bukhari said that in the light of the directions of the Supreme Court the meeting gave the approval to fix aquifer tariff (water charges) at the rate of one rupee per litter on water bottling and beverage companies using the groundwater. WASAs, local government, and Irrigation department will issue notifications in this regard.

The Minister further disclosed that the cabinet meeting has also gave approval to the change the name of Fort Munro Development Authority as Koh-e-Suleman Development Authority. It has also been decided to expand the scope of this authority to the tribal areas of DG Khan and Rajanpur. He further informed the media persons that cabinet was apprised about the amendments in the transfer policy of teachers of the Education department (School).

A detailed briefing will also be given to the parliamentary party about the e-transfer policy of the teachers. It was also decided to amend the LDA laws with regard to the utilization of land for marquees, marriage and banquet hall. The cabinet meeting expressed its satisfaction over the achievement of wheat procurement target.
