Punjab Assembly budget approved by the Finance Committee

Lahore: Punjab Assembly’s Finance Committee meeting was held under chairmanship of acting Speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari in the Committee Room A of the Punjab Assembly here today .

The meeting was participated by Provincial Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashem Jawan Bakhat, Finance Committee members Shujat Nawaz, Muzaffar Ali Shaikh, Mian Tariq Abdullah, Kashif Mehmud and Raees Nabeel Ahmad.

Presenting the revised budget estimates for financial year 2018-19, Secretary Punjab assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti told the Committee that during last financial year a saving of Rs 3 crore 93 lakhs 32 thousand was made which the Committee allowed to be deposited in the treasury.

Secretary Assembly presented a budget of Rs 1 billion 91 crore 86 lakhs and 35 thousand for financial year 2019-20 which the Finance Committee unanimously approved.

Finance Department was represented by Special Secretary Finance Shoaib Iqbal Syed.
