Lahore : Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) has organized its 5th Convocation at The Palace Hall, Pearl Continental Hotel.
The event was organized for MBA Graduates of Banking & Finance and Insurance & Risk Management Evening Programs of the Academic Sessions 2012-16 and 2013-17.
Faculty of Commerce Dean Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan was the chief guest. Over 350 Graduates received their degrees in the event.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar congratulated the graduating students on their accomplishments. He advised them to gear up their efforts for crafting their careers.
He said that converting their dreams into reality and fulfillment of their parents’ aspirations should now be their priority. He briefed the students of the developments planned for the academic and structural uplift of their Alma Mater. He stressed upon the need to meet ethical standards and earn the recognition of good corporate citizenship by performing their duties with honesty.
He emphasized on the need to inculcate a spirit of accountability to Allah in the execution of their official matters. “This will surely result in the emergence of business professionals with high standards of integrity adding to the worth of the human capital of the country. Obligations towards motherland should never be ignored. Decision making should be based on rationalism and logic derived from the principles of nationalism,” Prof Munawar said.
He advised the graduating students that they should collaborate with their institution in academics and research by developing, publishing and sharing case studies of their organizations with it.
In the end, the position holders received awards and appreciated the efforts of the college management in holding such events. The students were of the opinion that the day will be cherished for years to come.
