CPEC would enable traders to transport their goods to the world

Lahore : China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would enable traders to transport their goods to the world through Gwadar Port. Several companies of Hong Kong had their permanent offices in Pakistan which testified their trust in the country. Pakistan and Hong Kong enjoyed brotherly relations.

FPCCI Regional Chairman & Vice President Abdul Rauf Mukhtar expressed these views while talking to a Business delegation of Hong Kong accompanied by Abdul Qadir Memon, Consul General, Consulate General of Pakistan in Hong Kong here at the FPCCI Regional Office Lahore.

Rauf Mukhtar said Hong Kong was one of his favorite’s places, adding that Pakistan had strong relations with Hong Kong, and there was a great scope for trade and economic relations between the two countries. He stressed that the cooperation between the two countries in different sectors must be enhanced.

He said that the Pakistan’s liberal trade policies provided ample opportunities to the investors of Hong Kong. He also encouraged the businessmen from Hong Kong to take an active part in CPEC, which was to the mutual benefit of the two nations.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General of Pakistan in Hong Kong Abdul Qadir Memon said that Pakistan has not only huge untapped potential of exports but at the same  time it’s growing market with population of around 200 million, offered  excellent opportunities for bilateral trade. He also informed participants about the opportunities and challenges and assured his continued support to Pakistan business. He lauded FPCCI efforts in promoting trade tie through exhibitions and business opportunity conferences.

Vice President, Pakistan Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong (PCCHK) Lau Yuet Yung Ellen said that we welcome Pakistani tech-entrepreneurs and encourage them to work with the IT sector of Hong Kong and polish their skills as per global standards.
