Rizwan Ahmad takes charge as Federal Secy, Maritime Affairs

Lahore : Rizwan Ahmed, a BS-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), has taken charge of the office of Federal Secretary, Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

Rizwan did his two-year Master in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA. He has previously held various key positions in the federal government including Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), Chairman Trading
Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), Additional Secretary Establishment Division, Additional Secretary Cabinet Division and Managing Director Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (PSPC).

Rizwan Ahmed belongs to the 15th common training programme (CTP) and is batchmates with Jawad Rafique Malik, Shoaib Mir, Sikandar Sultan Raja, Zafarullah Khan, Fawad Hasan Fawad and Allah Dino Khawaja. Rizwan remained a member of the Directing Staff in the National Institute of Management in Karachi, and a teaching fellow at Harvard University.

He is the son of Jamil Ahmed, the former twice-elected Mayor of Hyderabad.
