Military courts essential for peace : Ch Shujaat Hussain

Lahore : PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain has said that there is no dispute over complete elimination of menace of terrorism and solidarity and security for extension in military courts because including myself, Asif Ali Zardari, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rahman and other party chiefs had signed the National Action Plan.

Talking to the media in Islamabad on Monday, Ch Shujaat Hussain reminded that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif had told the participants of All Parties Conference on December 24, 2014 that the time has come for taking bold and courageous decisions, accordingly the same night in his address to the nation Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif had announced setting up of military courts for terrorism cases, those leaders of PPP and PML(N) which are now opposing military courts should know that National Action Plan was also signed by all leaders including Asif Zardari, Mian Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rahman.

He said that for complete elimination of menace of terrorism and solidarity and security of the State military courts should essentially be established.

Ch Shujaat Hussain said that after 9/11 military courts were also set up even in a country like USA and were also established in India also after August 8, 2009.

In response to a question, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that 18th Constitutional Amendment had committed great injustice with future generations; great injustice was done by transferring education to the provinces.

He said same national syllabus is the need of our children and Pakistan, we need such national syllabus free from prejudices and hatreds which can be taught in all provinces equally and it promotes national solidarity.
