Milk Seller Association calls on DG PFA

Lahore : Milk Seller Association (MSA) expressed satisfaction over the testing parameters and procedure which are being practiced by the Punjab Food Authority. This view was expressed during met with Punjab Food Authority Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman at PFA Headquarter on Wednesday.

MSA also requested to start crackdown against milk sellers/shops across the province who are offering “buy 1 litre and get 1 litre free”, because they are selling tainted milk. Association also said that they are standing with Punjab Food Authority’s mission over powdered milk sellers. Association also stated that their protest was against milk adulteration mafia rather than the competent Punjab Food Authority.

Speaking on that Occasion, Punjab Food Authority DG Muhammad Usman said, “Consumers are being dodged by tainted milk seller in the name of pure milk”. He also said that it is utmost priority of PFA is to ensure the provision of wholesome milk along with the elimination of food adulterators. He further said that the mission of food authority is to ensure the availability of healthy and safe food for people rather than harming anyone’s business. To eliminate adulteration mafia, PFA would take action against to any extent. Moreover, he said that no pressure and compromise would be tolerated at any cost as well as deal with iron hands to violators who fail to meet the PFA food standards.
