Veteran politician Rana Shaukat Mehmood passed away

Lahore : Veteran politician and PPP founder member Rana Shaukat Mehmood has passed away . Inna Lillahe wa Inna Elehe Rajeune.

His funeral prayer would be offered at his residence in Gulberg and burial at 4pm in his native village Baloki.

Rana Shaukat Mehmood was a close fellow of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He served as a minister in the first govt of PPP and in Benazir Bhutto ‘s regime. He also headed the PPP Punjab and lead the party in Punjab Assembly as a opposition leader.
