Lahore : Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore B.A Nasir has said that first aid training would be provided to Dolphin Squad so they may help the needy people in case of emergency. He said this would be a reason to save precious lives and also improve the police image among the general public.
While chairing a meeting at Dolphin Squad Headquarters ,CCPO Lahore B A Nasir said that Rescue 1122 would trained the Dolphin Squad .
The meeting held at , SSP Operations Mustansar Feroz, SP Dolphin Squad Bilal Zafar, DSP HQ Shehzad Rafique and other police officers were also present during the meeting.
SP Bilal Zafar briefed the meeting about the initiatives regarding capacity building and improvement in performance of dolphin squad. “Due to vigilant patrolling of dolphin squad decrease in street crime recorded in 30 police stations at capital city” briefed the SP.
The CCPO while directing further improvement in performance said that good performance would be rewarded by the police department however he warned that laxity in security of general masses would not be tolerated. “Committing error was not a crime but hiding the same was. We should learn from our mistakes and try to correct it” said the CCPO.
He also emphasized that rights were always linked with duties; police should focus on professional responsibilities at all costs. “Do not feel hesitation in consulting with colleagues over any matter. We have to stop hands of those elements that are responsible for defamation of the police department” concluded the CCPO.
