Ombudsperson Punjab kick out a headmaster and a rescue 1122 officer on harassing ladies staff

Lahore : Ombudsperson Punjab, Mrs. Rukhsana Gillani has ordered to kick out from service a headmaster of government school and a senior officer of Rescue 1122 on the complaints of harassment to lady workers.

She conducted detailed inquiries on a complaint of harassment at workplace lodged against the headmaster and a senior officer of Rescue 1122.

Complainants alleged that the said officers harassing them since a long period of time by asking for sexual favor verbally as well as through text messages.

Ombudsperson Punjab finding the officers proven to be guilty of harassment at workplace awarded penalty of Removal from Service to them.

Ombudsperson Punjab remarked that majority of females despite having high qualifications, confined themselves to their homes just because of fear of harassment, some of those women who participate in workforce, become prey of menace of harassment which either results in losing their employment or pressure from their families to stay at home.
