PFA removes 24,125 litres unfit ice cream of Gourmet Foods and Chaman Ice Cream

Lahore : In the light of the laboratory report, the crackdown of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) is being continued against hazardous ice cream and frozen desserts across the city here on Sunday.

PFA food safety teams removed 24,125 litres desserts and ice cream during raids conducted in the different areas of Lahore on Gourmet Foods and Chaman Ice cream.

According to details, PFA removed 10,699 litres ice cream and desserts from 16 outlets of Gourmet Foods. While PFA has removed the supply of unfit products of ice cream from Gourmet’s Umar Chowk branch, Township, Shama Cinema, Samanabad, Raja Market, Ayubia, Samanabad, G-1 Market, Jagwar Chowk Johar Town, Shahdman, Yateem Khana, Multan Road, Airline Raiwind Road, Punjab Society, Qila Qasim Shah and Military Accounts Society.

Similarly, enforcement teams raided six outlets of Chaman Ice Cream and sealed 13,426 litres ice cream and frozen desserts stock. The raids were conducted on its Mall Road Outlet, Kareem Market, Faisal Town, Thokar Niaz Baig, Bahria Town, and Daroghawala.
