Lahore : Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar chaired an
important meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. The meeting was convened to review the progress of under-construction sports projects in Lahore Division.
Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Director Project Management Unit (PMU) Akram Soban, Deputy Director Planning Rauf Bajwa, Divisional Sports Officer Nadeem Qaiser, DSO Tanvir Shah and other officials also attended the key meeting.
Director Project Management Unit Akram Soban gave a detailed briefing about the progress of under-construction sports projects in Lahore Division.
Addressing the meeting Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar stressed upon the concerned officers to complete the sports projects in the province as early as possible and in this regard no complacency will be tolerated. “Development work on
various sports projects is underway in the province. Sports culture will grow in the province after the completion of sports projects,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said Sports Board Punjab is taking every possible measure for the promotion of sports in the province. “Providing best sports facilities to young talented players of the province is the top priority of Punjab
govt. We are striving hard to bring maximum number of youngsters towards sports activities”.
DG SBP Nadeem Sarwar further said that modern stadiums, gymnasium halls and grounds have been completed in several cities of Punjab and that’s the reason sports activities are growing in the these cities.
