Cattle lifting on rise in Mandi Bahauddin district

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal ) : On night 31 May/1 June eight buffalos including three heifers were lifted from Dera of ex-Chief Warrant Officer Arif of Shahidanwali village by unknown bandits. While loading on truck the heifers escaped from thieves while rests of milk giving buffalos were taken away. The incident was reported to Sadar police soon after the incident. Police visited the place of occurrence and ensured recovery of the stolen of cattle heads.

Three days earlier, three buffalos were stolen at night from Dera of ex-servicemen Mazhar of the same village. The thieves drove the animals to a fixed place where the truck had to arrive for carrying the stolen animals but the vehicle did not arrive on the fixed time. The thieves got confused and they fled away after leaving the animals astray.

In the morning Mazhar along with his co villagers were tracing footsteps of the animals and thieves and when they reached near 2 Chak Shamali they found their animals grazing along Rasul Qadirabad link canal.
