Ms. Maria Markopoulou visit to FPCCI Regional office Lahore

Lahore : Vice President FPCCI Ch. Arfan Yousaf will led a high profile business delegation to Hellenic Republic Greece (EU and Schengen State) in the last week of June 2018.

The delegation is especially arranged for trade promotion, to utilize GSP-Plus Status and for the promotion of Trade with European Union said by Ch. Arfan Yousaf Vice President and Regional Chairman FPCCI during a Special Meeting with President Greek- Pakistani Chamber of Commerce Ms. Maria Rubina Markopoulou today.

Ch. Arfan Yousaf said that Pakistan should explore Greece as trading partner and a link to EU and Schengen status but the volume of trade between two countries is very low, Pakistan export to Greece 20,435US $ and import from Greece 47,155 US $ which are .02% of total Greece export and 0.1% of total imports. He informed that delegation will meet government official of Greece and various Chambers in Greece especially The Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Greek-Pakistani Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Maria Rubina Markopoulou said there is good market for Pakistani surgical instruments, pharmaceutical products, textile yarn & fabrics of apparel & cloth accessories, leather & leather manufacturing, fish rice, and sports goods. Greece pharmaceutical products, organic chemicals, paper & paper board, iron & steel, textile yarn, chemicals, fertilizers, specified machinery and cotton. Greek-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Maria Rubina Markopoulou said that communication gap between business circles in Pakistan and Greece must be bridged, as it is one of the biggest reasons of low trade between the two countries

Ch. Arfan Yousaf, Vice President FPCCI said exchange of trade delegations and timely dissemination of trade and investment-related information can help boost two-way trade. He said He will also receive a delegation of Greek people visiting Pakistan this year for joint venture under the MoU already signed between two countries.
