63rd Pakistan Railways Inter Divisional Athletic Championship kicks off in Lahore

Lahore : Two days annual 63^rd Pakistan Railways Inter Divisional Athletic Championship of Pakistan Railways started here at Railway Stadium, Lahore. About 350 Athletes from 9 members units of Pakistan Railways Sports Board Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Workshops, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, Karachi etc. are participating for top honors.

Mrs. Parveen Agha, Chair Person Railways, Inaugurated the Annual Athletics Champions alongwith Javed Anwar, CEO/Sr. General Manager Pakistan Railways.

All Men & Women Athletes participated in the March Past. Ali Zaryab Asif, International Cricketer led the march past with National Flag and Miss. Zaib-un-Nisa, International Women Hockey Player hold Flag of Railway Sports Board.

Colorful ceremony was arranged in Railway Stadium, the stadium was decorated with colorful buntings, flags etc. Balloons and pigeons were also released in the air. All Divisional Superintendents and Divisional Sports Officers Pakistan Railways also witnessed the events.

The Chief Guest asked in his opening remarks that Railway is a big platform of sports who produced many well renowned International Players in every disciplines of sports.

General Manager (Welfare & Special Initiative) / President Railway Sports Board Mr. Muhammad Tahir, Vice President, Railway Sports Board Prof. Dr. Abadat Yar Khan, Secretary Railway Sports Board Dr. Aftab Iqbal Ch. Sports Officer Rashad Mahmood Butt also accompanied with her on stage.

The Officer/Officials are also appraised by the Chief Guest for arranging this wonderful event.
