Motorway Police foil dacoity near Mian Channu

Lahore : National Highways & Motorway Police has foiled an attempt of dacoity on national highway near Mian Channu by prompt action recovered car, mobile phones, blue lights , arms and ammunition.

At about 0330 Guidance Center Lahore informed that a White Toyota GLI car LEH 7819 tried to intercept a Daewoo Bus.

The officers tried to search the car but it slipped on link road.  Later officers of T-I Beat 18 PO Raoof Karim and JPO Nabeel informed officers of Eagle II Beat 17 about the said Car which tried to intercept a Mehran car in their area and heading towards North.

The officers of E-II  Beat 17 took position at Hussaini Chowk.  At about 05:50 DSP Riaz Ahmad Khan, officers of Eagle II SPO Haleem and PO Akram Guru observed the car at 1003 North and tried to stop it at Hussaini Chowk.

The said Car tried to slip on link road at high speed. Car was chased and stopped by bursting its tyres with fire of Pistol. 04 persons boarding the car run away taking advantage of darkness. Toyota GLI Car,  02 SMG type guns, 80 rounds of SMG and 27 of 12 bore gun, 06 mobiles,  03 different number plates,  blue revolving light and other small articles recovered. Handed over to local police.

DIG  Mirza Faran Baig  appreciated the efforts of the officer of Motorway Police and granted them commendation certificates and cash reward for their excellent performance .
