Punjab Government will take action against Dr Shahid after the apex court verdict

Lahore : Spokesman Punjab Government Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan has rejected an impression by section of media that main accused held in Zainab murder case has 37 bank accounts and he is also holding multiple identity cards.

Addressing to a press conference here, today he regretted that senior anchor person Dr Shahid Masud created panic among nation with the baseless claim that Imran Ali, accused serial killer had 37 bank accounts. “The fact is that states bank in his letter has categorically rejected such claim and said that Imran Ali has no bank account in any of banks” he said.

During the press conference the spokesman also distributed copies of the Central Bank’s announcement which clearly mentions that Imran Ali s/o Arshad Ali CNIC # 3510274598347 has no account in any bank.

“NADRA also reported that Imran Ali has only one card while second one had been expired” Malik Ahmed added.

He said Dr Shahid Masud deliberately tried to de track the investigations of Zainab case and also did not appear before JIT constituted by the government.

“Since the matter was sub juiced before honourable Supreme Court Of Pakistan, Punjab Government will take any action after the apex court gives his verdict” he concluded.
