Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing called on Chief Minister Punjab

Lahore : Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing called on the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Punjab House Islamabad today. During the meeting, different matters of mutual interest including Pak-China economic relations, CPEC related initiatives and expansion of mutual cooperation in different sectors came under discussion.

The Chinese Ambassador congratulated Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif over the permission to continue work on Lahore Orange Line Metro Train and added that court’s verdict for continuing work on the metro train is welcoming.

He assured of every possible cooperation for early completion of the project adding that Chinese companies working on this venture will make organized efforts to complete their assignments as soon as possible.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Chinese leadership has fully supported Orange Line project despite hurdles. He thanked the Chinese leadership as well as the government and added that government is trying to early complete the project by working day and night over it.

He said that CPEC, which is a mega project of bringing economic resolution, will prove a harbinger of economic prosperity for all the countries of the region. World peace and prosperity are directed linked with the economic prosperity and the incumbent government has worked with full dedication to bringing prosperity in the lives of the common man along with alleviation of poverty, joblessness and economic disparity.
