Shahbaz Sharif reviews the progress made on Safe City Project

Lahore : A high-level meeting was held at Qurban Lines in the head office of the Punjab Safe City Authority under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. The meeting reviewed in detail the general situation of law & order in the province and the progress made on Safe City Project.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that every step should be adopted to protect the life and property of the people and no stone should be left unturned to further improve the general law & order situation in the Punjab. The police should efficiently work to stamp out the criminals and supremacy of law & order should be ensured at every cost in the province.

He said that Safe City Project has been launched to protect the life and property of the people and this project has equipped with the latest technology which is very helpful in curbing the crimes.

He said that Safe City Project will be inaugurated soon and completion of this project will give further impetus to the sense of protection of the citizens. He said that third-party audit will also be held to ensure high standard of the project.

He directed that allied works of this project should be completed as soon as possible. The Chief Minister was told that 95 percent work of Safe City Project has been completed in Lahore.

Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Col. (R) Ayub Gadhi, Spokesman Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Inspector General Police and concerned officials attended the meeting.
