PAF Academy win PU declamation contest

Lahore : A team of Pakistan Air-force Academy Risalpur has clinched team trophy in All Pakistan Punjab University bilingual debating championship 2017 by showing outstanding performance. The event was organized by PU Directorate of Students Affairs.

In this regard, the prize distribution ceremony was held at Faisal Auditorium here on Thursday.

PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, Director Students Affairs Shahid Mahmood Gull, Deputy Director Muhammad Zubair Akram, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

In English debates PAF Risalpur student Sheharyar, University of Sargodha student Sultan Arifeen and Military College of Engineering Risalpur student Hassam obtained first, second and third positions respectively.

In Urdu debates University of Lahore student Abdullah Warraich, University of Agriculture Faisalabad student Hamza Tariq and FCC Lahore student Hamza Ilyas grabbed first, second and third positions respectively.

In the championship, 80 participants from FC College Lahore, GCU, University of Balochistan, University of Gujrat, NUST, University of Sargodha, University of South Asia, University of Lahore, PAF College Risalpur and others participated.

Later, PU VC Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir distributed prizes among the winners. He said that PU was promoting such healthy activities among the students so that energies of our youth could be utilized positively.
