Motorway between Lahore to Multan will be inaugurated in 2018

Lahore : Motorway between Lahore to Multan will be inaugurated in 2018, while Hazara Motorway from Havilaan to Hassan Abdal will be functional by next month of this year. The new 8000 thousand recruitment will made very soon in motorway police. In the next year, jurisdictions of motorways will further stretched up to 1800 kilometers.

This was stated by Dr. Hafiz Abdul Kareem Federal Minister for Communication in the passing out parade of 15 DSPs, 28 Patrolling Officers and 344 Junior Patrolling Officers at Motorway Police Training College at Shaikhpura.

The Inspector General Motorway Police Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam , Commandant Training College  DIG Khalid Mahmood, DIG Ghulam Rasool Zahid, SSP Kamran Adil , SSP Syed Hashmat Kamal , SSP Masroor Alam Kolachi and other police officers , official and their families were also present on the occasion.

The Federal Minister for Communication Dr. Hafiz Abdul Kareem said motorway police excellent performance over the years had itself an example of excellence. The professional working of motorway police has become a role model for other departments of country.

The national Highways and Motorway Police performing excellent duties, services and security for road users travelling on highways and motorways.

The government has contacted multiple mega projects for the development and the prosperity of the country, he added.

Federal Minister for Communication Dr. Hafiz Abdul Kareem said road networks are widely been built in all over the country. These projects are vital to achieve the economic objectives and country marked progress in the field of electricity and road structure. The role of motorway police is quite important in the success of these projects and responsibilities of NH&MP is increased many folds in the near future.

After witnessing successfully completion of training on modern grounds under the professional staff of training college, I proudly said the will be coup up all the future challenges, he added.

He also presented congratulation to all passed out police officers during his address.

Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Dr. Syed Kalim Imam said Motorway Police officer sometimes may become lethargic but it never be dishonest. Our prime responsibility is to educate and trained the road users about road safety measures. The status and responsibilities are divine gift and we have to work  day and night for  betterment and change towards road safety.

The professional training was  always enjoying the same place as first brick in the wall. Today magnificent parade on professional lines reflects the hard work and interest of Commandant Training College DIG Khalid Mahmood, he added.

IG expressed hope that when these well-trained officers will come in practical field, they will raise the standards of traffic discipline and make the roads safer than before.

He applauded the efforts of Commandant Training College, DIG Khalid Mehmood and its staff for current progress in college and aligning the training on modern lines.

Earlier in his welcome address, Commandant Training College, DIG Khalid Mehmood said he has tried his best to raise the standards of training by adopting various latest methods.

He said their institution is trying its best to inculcate in the minds of all trainees the basic traits of honesty, courtesy and help. Besides providing quality manpower, we are also playing a central role in road safety awareness, said the DIG.

At the end, Federal Minister for Communication Dr. Hafiz Abdul Kareem and Inspector General Motorway Police Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam, laid floral wreath at monument of martyrs and prayed for them.
