Railways cricket season kicks off by a practice match

Lahore : Railways cricket season 2017-18 kicks off by a practice match between Pakistan Railways and Lahore Blues today at Railway Cricket Stadium, Garhi Shahu, Lahore.

On opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Farhan Ibadat Yar Khan Vice President Railways Sports Board, Sports Officer Rashid Mehmood Butt, Accounts Officer Atta Hussain Butt, Arshad Iqbal Butt (Manager), Asif Aziz (Coach), Hafiz Sajjad Akbar (Coach Lahore Balues), Sanaullah, Manzoor Ali Arif and other notable sports personalities were present.

Chief guest Prof. Dr. Farhan on this occasion said that Pakistan Railways Sports Board proved to be important for every sports game. Railway sports board supported players by providing best facilities, coaching and reasonable stipend.

Later on among these keen and hardworking player served the Nation and won the titles for Pakistan. He further stated that they are working to improve the infrastructure, like grounds, gyms, coaching staff alongwith higher stipend.

He reiterated that Railway Sports Board will keep playing vital role in the improvement of Sports in Pakistan.
