Kh Saad lashes judges who took oath on PCO

Lahore : Former federal minister Kh Saad Rafiq has said that Panama Papers had targeted Nawaz Sharif, Russian President Vladimir Putin and David Cameron, former British premier. He rhetorically asked if the judges to had taken oaths over Musharraf’s PCO were honest and righteous to have passed such judgment.

He said that PML-N was advised to raise the issue it had over the world ‘godfather’ but it chose not to for the sanctity of the institutions.

Addressing a press conference here in Lahore ,Saad Rafiq held the usage of words ‘godfather’ and ‘mafia’ by the judges of the top court through the course of Panama case, humiliating for the party.

He said that whether Nawaz Sharif has been disqualified for life or for five years, either way, it does not take a toll on him but his political opponents.

Kh Saad Rafiq rhetorically asked if Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the apex court for corruption or money laundering. He refused to pocket salary off revenue of son’s company and that was it, he said.

He held it PML-N’s ineptness to not repeal Article 62 and Article 63 of Constitution of Pakistan. He asserted that one Sharif would be elected after another until democratic processes are begun to be respected. ‘Faces of corruption’ are seen standing next to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, he alleged.

While talking about the nominee of PML-N for interim PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Saad Rafiq said that the political party would urge Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to vote for the former oil minister.

He said that PML-N representatives would ask MQM and ANP in the evening today to vote for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Baloch leader Bugti signed 1973 constitution and was killed later on, do certain sections want to repeat that in Punjab, he rhetorically asked.

He demanded that either all the parliamentarians are measured on the yardstick used or the former prime minister or end this mockery by immediate legislation.

The former minister said that there was nothing objectionable in the press conference addressed by the former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar hours before the premier was ordered to be disqualified.

He said that political opponents of the premier should pull their socks up for NA-120 elections as people are going to opt for PML-N as their party, he asserted.

PML-N could have boycotted the Panama gate Joint Investigation Team (JIT) but the former premier and the federally ruling party stood by the institutions, he said.
