IGP revise age limit for the recruitment and retirement of the cops

Lahore : Inspector General of Police Punjab Capt (R) Muhammad Usman Khattak has given approval to made amendments in Police Rules to revise age limit for the recruitment and retirement of the cops.

Now 18 years young boy could be recruited and 52 years old HC would be retired from the service. ASI may serve the department till the age of 54 and Sub-Inspector could wear uniform till the age of 56 years. 23 years old boy would not be able to join police department as a cop as the recruitment maximum age is fixed at 22 years .

This order will be applied upon all those cops who will join police force after the amendment in Police Rules.

The changes in Police Rules have been given in a high level meeting held here at Central Police Office, today. AIG Establishment Capt (R) Arif Nawaz , AIG PHP Amjad Javaid Saleemi , AIG W & F Shoaib Dastgir , AIG Ops Punjab Mohsin Hassan Butt , AIG Investigation Punjab Azhar Hameed Khokhar , AIG Discipline Ijaz Shah , DIG Special Branch Shahid Hanif , DIG Traffic Punjab Farooq Mazhar Khan , DIG Tele Ehsan Tufail, DIG Welfare Waseem Sial and DIG Establishment Salman Ch attended the meeting.
