Indian act to bar Sikh pilgrims is a violation of Human Rights : Khalil Tahir

Lahore : Provincial Minister Human Rights and Affairs of Minorities Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that thousands of Sikh pilgrims visit Pakistan each year to celebrate Birth or Death Anniversary of their founder. He said that 350 Sikh Pilgrims wanted to participate in the Death Anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh started from today but several Sikh pilgrims couldn’t enter the country after Indian authorities stopped them at Attari Railway Station.

The Minister said, it is clearly violation of Human Rights. He further stated that in this regard a special Train dispatched for bringing Pilgrims from Attari. But the Indian Authorities stopped them.

The Minister said that Sikh Pilgrims should grant permission to enter the Pakistan to participate the Maharaja Ranjeet Singh’s death Anniversary.
