Siraj ul Haq gives Iftar dinner to journalists in Peshawar

Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has denounced the attitude of the ruling family towards the JIT probing Panama leaks and the PML(N) leaders threats to the judiciary and termed it as an attack on the supremacy of the constitution and the law.

Talking to the media at an Iftar dinner in Peshawar , he  PML (N) Senator Nehal Hashmi to the judiciary and the JIT members, he said that  the ruling family wanted VIP treatment in the enquiry. He said that even in the past, the PMLN) workers and leaders had attacked the courts and their attitude remained unchanged.

He said that not allowing live broadcast of the speech of the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly was the worst form of dictatorship and the government was trying to the push the opposition to the wall.

Sirajul Haq said that the entire government, the cabinet ministers and Senators were trying to defend the Prime Minister only to gain his favours. However, he said, the threats of the ruling party legislators to the JIT members were in fact a threat to the honourable judges who had appointed the JIT.

This was a great disservice to democracy. He said this was a serious matter and it was to been seen what  action the rulers took in this regard as it could not be brushed aside as something ordinary.
