City Traffic Police receive gifts of umbrella ,hats and water bottles

Lahore : Umbrellas, bottles were distributed among Traffic Wardens during a MOU signing ceremony at Qurban Police Lines Lahore. CTO Lahore Rai Ijaz Ahmad, Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Dr. Saeed Elahi, General Secretary Brigadier (R) Ghulam Muhammad Awan, SP Sadar Sardar Asif and a large number of traffic officers & Wardens attended the ceremony.

CTO Lahore Rai Ijaz said while addressing that I am thankful to the sponsors who distributed umbrellas and bottles among Traffic Wardens and provided basic facilities to them. He said Traffic Wardens provide their best services & serve road users in severe weather conditions and maintain traffic flow & implement law and order.

He further added that I salute Traffic Wardens who are performing duties in scorching heat to facilitate road users and this is the legacy of Shaheed Capt. (R) Ahmad Mobin. Pakistan Red Crescent and others social organizations distributed umbrellas and bottlers among Traffic Wardens for a noble cause.

We have signed a MOU with Pakistan Red Crescent which will enable Traffic Wardens to learn First Aid courses and Traffic Wardens will go through blood screening without any cost.

Through this MOU Pakistan Red Crescent employees will be facilitated regarding issuance of Driving License and registration services will also be provided to them in Driving Schools.

Chairman Red Crescent Dr. Saeed Elahi said that I am living in Lahore more than 30 years and I did not hear any complaint regarding Traffic Wardens. Traffic Wardens are our heroes; they are appreciated in the whole world. We present the gift of umbrellas and bottles to them and we will keep this noble cause up in future. Free blood banks will be installed for blood screening of Traffic Wardens to check AIDS, TB, Sugar and HIV. To overcome the emergency First Aid situation on roads, Traffic Wardens will be gone through First Aid courses.

Today Pakistan Red Crescent distributed 200 umbrellas and 400 hats similarly different social organizations distributed 1500 water bottles, 2000 small sizes and 300 full sizes umbrellas among Traffic Wardens. He said that Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Rai Ijaz Ahmad is doing his best to facilitate Traffic Wardens and road users as well and we believe that this will bring a positive change in traffic situation in Lahore.
