Students of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College celebrated Green Week

Lahore : Students of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College celebrated Green Week in order to spread sensitization about Global Warming and to promote plantation in the country.

Principle Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Prof. Dr. Ghiyas-un-Nabi Tayyab had directed students and faculty members to start this campaign.

Students planted as many as 350 sapling in various areas of the college setting their target of 500 plants.

The slogan “Plant for the Planet” has been set for this plantation campaign.
Chairman Board of Management PGMI & LGH Salman Ghani, Prof. Ghiyas-un-Nabi Tayyab, faculty members and students in large number were present on the occasion.

Chairman Board and Principle informed the media that challenges to human life are increasing due to continuously raising global warming. Earth temperature is increasing and snow fields are squeezing on the earth rapidly while water level of shores is increasing day by day. They said that human friendly atmosphere is need of all the living creatures on the earth.

Therefore more and more awareness and sensitization is required to accelerate efforts against global warmings. They lauded the step of celebrating Green Week by the students terming it a very healthy and useful activity and said that it will not only improve the natural atmosphere but also be very beneficial the generations to come.
