Pakistan’s national hockey team leaves for the tour of New Zealand and Australia

Lahore : Pakistan’s national hockey team has left for the tour of New Zealand and Australia.
They will play bilateral test series in both the countries.
As per the FIH rankings, Australia is currently the world’s top hockey country while New Zealand is at the 8th place.
The experience gained during these two series would help Pakistan prepare for  the all important Hockey World League’s semi finals to be held in London in June this year which doubles up as the 2018 World Cup qualifier.
Abdul Haseem Khan is the captain of the team and Umar Bhutta is the vice captain.

17 March at International Hockey Stadium, Wellington
18 March at International Hockey Stadium, Wellington
20 March at International Hockey Stadium, Wellington
22 March at Trust House Hockey, Wairarapa, Clareville
23 March at Trust House Hockey, Wairarapa, Clareville

All tests to be played at Marrara Hockey Centre, Darwin:
28 March, 29 March, 31 March and 1 April
