Lahore : Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hospital Prof Rashid Zia after taking over the charge has undertaken immediate interventions by setting priorities. He informed that apart from chronic issues of the hospital relating to seepage, leakage and structural defects, it is essentially required to undertake immediate interventions.
Prof. Rashid Zia emphasized the need of absolute cleanliness and sanitation, foolproof security arrangements, high standard upkeep, punctuality, availability of staff, medicines and in-order biomedical equipment. He said “we are firmly committed to ensure prompt as well as quality patient care in a safe and patient friendly environment”.
Principal AIMC pointed out that detailed working with the advice of the government is being carried out to address issues of building as well structure, establishing a state of the art Central Diagnostic Lab and hospital automation with the support of PITB.
Prof Rashid Zia expressed his serious commitment regarding enforcement of SoPs. He stated that students will be provided proper educational as well as recreational facilities. The improvement in the AIMC hostels conditions is our main focus, he added.
