Kh. Imran Nazir visit to DHQ Hospital Kasur

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Kh. Imran Nazir paid a surprise visit to DHQ Hospital Kasur, today. He checked the record of the treatment of Zohra Bibi who was earlier taken to DHQ Hospital Kasur and lately expired in Jinnah Hospital Lahore.

The Minister spent almost all day in the hospital and sought details. He found out that CMO on duty failed to perform his professional responsibilities while no record of the patient was available. He was told that no urologist or cardiologist was available due to Sunday while the consultant was not called to examine the patient. The staff provided treatment to Zohra Bibi which was advised by the duty doctor.

The Minister was informed that there are three ambulances and three with drivers at the hospital who are unable to provide 24 hours services. During Minister’s visit to pharmacy it was revealed that LP medicines were not defaced.

Taking immediate action, Kh. Imran Nazir issued instructions for termination of services of Duty Doctor Ansab who was serving on adhoc basis. Similarly, pharmacy storekeeper was also suspended.

The Minister directed Medical Superintendent of the hospital to hire drivers immediately to provide 24/7 patient referral services. He further directed MS who has recently joined DHQ Hospital Kasur to improve working of the hospital.

The Minister appreciated the efforts of DCO Kasur to improve working of the hospital, however, directed her to pay attention to duty rosters and clinical services.
